Audition Preparation (Private Session)

With the rise of dubbed material these days, your skills as a voice over actor are just as important to your toolsets as your skills on camera or on the stage. Voiceover work demands exceptional specificity, focus, and a grounding in your breath and belly. Very often voice over actors fall into the trap of telecasting, pushing, overdoing, losing the throughline and the soft interconnected flow of a moment, or, they get too wrapped up in how something sounds instead of playing the integrity of what's happening for real. Voice over acting is a highly lucrative area of the craft, and we work together to perfect your voiceover technique and to give you a tape and process that you can be proud to take anywhere. 

Voiceover / Dub Technique (Private Session)

Unlike a class, this is an isolated environment, where you can still work with a partner but can focus privately on refining specific aspects of your craft you are eager to address based on your personal impulses to explore characters of your choosing or that you have already explored and want more attention on, we are able to focus more specifically on accelerating your growth outside of a class environment where there are potential distractions. Private scene study is also optimal for students wanting to carry scene work to a second eye.  It provides you a unique opportunity to refine muscles with talent of your choosing.  This is for the hyper-motivated student who is hungry to be doing consistent disciplined scene-work everyday. Minimum of two sessions is required.

Private Partnered Scene work (Private Session) 

Your reel is often your first and only foot forward. Many people don't know how to create a powerful and charismatic reel. Together we look through all existing footage and review potential scenes to review what you have not yet filmed. We will make focused choices together about the exact artistic flow and content of your reel based on a very concrete understanding of what makes you stand out as a talent. For an additional fee, you can hire us to film and edit your material.

Reel Analysis (Private Session)

Musical Theatre offers the artist a unique opportunity to bear more vulnerability, connectedness, presence, and to make exciting choices. Unfortunately, because of the grandiose stylistic qualities of musical theatre, the short scene format, and the long solos, it very often exacerbates the worst "traps" for artists of pushing, letting the music do the work for you and resorting to gimmicky behavior instead of finding places of deep connected truth. We take your musical theatre work to another level, marrying authenticity, eccentricity, and the flamboyance of the medium with a sincerity and clear understanding of what you are singing or playing in every moment, even in the most light hearted and humorous of scenes. Bring greater depth to your musical theatre songs or characters. Having sat on many auditions, the difference between the actor who just has a beautiful voice and the actor who knows how to channel themselves through the song and really mean what they sing is night and day.
